Netflix with MARVEL

Sigourney Weaver announces in the new trailer for The Defenders, unveiled last night at Comic Con, that the battle for New York is over. However, our four Marvel superheroes - Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Iron Fist (Finn Jones), and Luke Cage (Mike Colter) - are not ready to give up just yet. They come together to put an end to the actions of the Japanese organization known as The Hand, which is seemingly led by the former Ripley. This latest look at the Netflix series is action-packed, showcasing the complete chemistry between the four heroes who were previously solo acts.

What stands out in the new images is the return of Bakuto (seen in Iron Fist) and, most importantly, Elektra (Elodie Yung). Brought back to life by The Hand, she is considered a deadly weapon. In fact, the young woman seems to be a formidable opponent in combat and is sure to give our Defenders a run for their money, especially her former lover, Matt Murdock.

The Defenders also features numerous other characters from the Marvel universe on Netflix: Stick will return to help and advise our four superheroes, while each one of them will have their precious sidekick to rely on, including the badass Rosario Dawson, always there to tend to their wounds. The series is set to premiere on the streaming platform on August 18th.
